How To Build Your Website Profits With Targeted Traffic

Pay Per Click and Google Adsense - How To Build Your Website Profits With Targeted Traffic
by: Dean Shainin

With pay per click and Google Adsense you can build your affiliate marketing business with targeted traffic. This has become a very effective way to earn online profits. And if your website is rich with original quality content and you want to earn more profit, you can use Google Adsense to drive your profits.

Why Use Pay Per Click To Promote Affiliate Marketing?

Affiliate marketing is one of the simplest and one of the most effective ways to earn profits online. Online retailers can benefit from affiliate marketing programs, because affiliate marketing actually works for merchants as well as it works for the affiliates. Many affiliate programs pay up to 75% commission.

There are many different methods on how the merchant can compensate the affiliate for their services, and for the webmaster, these methods simply are a great way to make cash using these types of services.

Here are the 3 types of compensation with affiliate programs:

1. Pay-per-click

2. Pay-per-lead

3. Pay-per-sale

The pay per click method is the method most preferred by many affiliates, for their site’s visitor would only have to visit the advertiser’s site for them to receive money if the visitor clicks on one of the ads. In general this is how Google AdSense works. The traffic is targeted with the right type of original content on the webmasters website.

The other two methods, (pay per lead) and (pay per sale) on the other hand, are sometimes preferred by merchants, as they would only have to compensate you if your visitor becomes one of their customers or if the visitor would actually purchase their products or services.

Building large profits with affiliate marketing programs does not depend so much on the compensation method as it does on the targeted traffic generated to your site. A website that can attract more targeted visitors would generally have the greater chance of profiting in affiliate marketing programs.

How Does Google Adsense Relate To Pay Per Click?

Google Adsense is actually an affiliate marketing program in its own right. With Google Adsense, Google acts as the intermediary for the affiliates and the merchants. The merchant, or the advertiser, would simply sign up with Google and provide text ads pertaining to their products and services. These ads, which are actually links to the advertiser’s website, would then appear on Google searches as well as on the websites owned by the affiliates, or by people who have signed up with the Google Adsense program.

You can find some aspects that are similar with Google Adsense and other affiliate marketing programs and you can also see a lot of differences. With Google Adsense, all the person has to do is put some code on their website and Google takes care of just about everything else.

The ads that Google places on your site will generally be targeted and relevant to the content of your site. This is an advantage for both you and for the advertiser, as the visitors of your site would more or less be interested with the products or services that are advertised.

Google Adsense is a program that compensates the affiliate on a pay-per-click basis. The advertiser pays Google a certain amount each time their ad on your site is clicked and Google then forwards this amount to you with checks, although only after Google have deducted their share of the amount. Google Adsense checks are sent monthly after the affiliate has reached a total of $100. Google Adsense helps with a tracking tool that allows you to monitor the earnings you actually get from certain ads.

Affiliate marketing programs and pay per click programs such as Google Adsense work very well, whether you are the merchant or the affiliate. For the merchant’s side, a lot of money can be saved if advertising effort is concentrated on affiliate marketing rather than on dealing with advertising firms. For the webmaster, you can easily gain a lot of profits just by doing what you do best, and that is by creating websites with original targeted content.

With this combination of profits from both the Google Adsense program and other affiliate programs, you could earn some decent income

The History of Internet Search Engines

Just a little over ten years ago, if a person needed information they were forced to go to the local library and spend hours entombed amongst shelves of books. Now that the internet is available in almost every home finding information is easier then ever before. Now when someone needs information all they have to do is boot up their computer and type their needs into a search engine

A search engine is an information retrieval system that is designed to help find information stored on a ca computer system.

In 1990 the very first search engine was created by students at McGill University in Montreal. The search engine was called Archie and it was invented to index FTP archives, allowing people to quickly access specific files. FTPs (short for File Transfer Protocol) are used to transfer data from one computer to another ocer the internet, or through a network that supports TCP/IP protocol. In its early days Archie contacted a list of FTP archives approximately once a month with a request for a listing. Once Archie received a listing it was stored in local files and could be searched using a UNIX grep command. In its early days Archie was a local tool but as the kinks got worked out and it became more efficient it became a network wide resource. Archie users could utilize Archie's services through a variety of methods including e-mail queries, teleneting directly to a server, and eventually through the World Wide Web interfaces. Archie only indexed computer files.

A student at the University of Minnesota created a search engine that indexed plain text files in 1991. They named the program Gopher after the University of Minnesota's mascot.

In 1993 a student at MIT created Wandx, the first Web search engine.

Today, search engines match a user's keyword query with a list of potential websites that might have the information the users is looking for. The search engine does this by using a software code that is called a crawler to probe web pages that match the user's keyword. Once the crawler has identified web pages that may be what the user is looking for the search engine uses a variety of statistical techniques to establish each pages importance. Most search engines establish the importance of hits based on the frequency of word distribution. Once the search engine has finished searching web pages it provides a list of web sites to the user.

Today, when an internet user types a word into a search engine they are given a list of websites that might be able to provide them with the information they seek. The typical search engine provides ten potential hits per page. The average internet user never looks farther they the second page the search engine provides. Webmasters are constantly finding themselves forced to use new methods of search engine optimization to be highly ranked by the search engines.

In 2000, a study was done by Lawrence and Giles that suggested internet search engines were only able to index sixteen percent of all available webpage's.

Bulk Web Content

Web content in bulk is expensive. Sites with only a few pages just don’t bring in the hits these days - you need thousands of pages with tens of thousands of articles - or even more. Yet who can afford to pay what it would cost to generate that type of content?

A typical article page is 400 words or so. Even with just 100 articles on a site - hardly something that will rival Wikipedia - that is 40,000 words - $2000 at five cents a word, the going rate for original web content. That stacks up fast, especially if you’re trying to develop multiple sites!

I have developed a technology that changes this equation in your favor. It’s a method of generating original web content that is readable by humans, looks appealing to Google, and is embedded with SEO keywords in a natural and non-black-hat profile. Test sites using this technology have achieved index penetration rates of 80% and more - with tens of thousands of articles on a single domain being happily ranked and served up by Google and other major engines.

Honesty demands that I tell you - this is not Shakespeare that we’re talking about. You would never want to put this copy on your front page or byline it as an original article written by you - it’s Google bait, pure and simple. It provides value to anyone who reaches it through a search by virtue of being strongly and intelligently keyworded, so that appropriate ads or other redirects can be displayed for the information seeker, but it isn’t good writing. It’s just adequate - good enough to make Google think it’s solid content.

Here’s an example of the copy that this system produces. This is a short paragraph written on the keyword “Britney Spears”:

“Britney Spears has been all over the news because she was seen shaving her noggin and acquiring tattoos. The escapades of celebrity Britney Spears, as publicized in widely circulated photos, yielded a goldmine of fresh material for her detractors to draw upon. Celebrities have the faculty to modify our society noticeably, due to the fact that they have status, wealth, a fan base, and are well-known. Recording artist Britney Spears began her professional life as a performer in the revival of Mouseketeers alongside singer Justin Timberlake. The wardrobe of pop star Britney Spears, as represented in widely circulated images, yielded a treasure chest of sensational subject matter for comedians to digest.”

That’s around 100 words of web copy - a short little article, or a blurb on a celebrity gossip blog.

We can generate unlimited quantities of articles just like this one for you, on any keyword you care to name. Our keyword database is large and growing every day - if we don’t already have the keyword you want, we will add it just for you. Here’s a short sampling of the keywords that our system can generate huge quantities of articles for:

We have thousands more, and add more keywords daily. The sky is literally the limit on the keywords you can commission content for.

This content can be used for any number of purposes. Filling blog entries, building AdSense sites, promoting particular product lines - you name it!

The most incredible part of this? The price. This technology allows us to sell content at an amazingly low cost to you. Even boiler-room web content operations will charge you a few cents a word for bulk content - we can charge you less than one cent a word.

Yes, less than one cent. Instead of that Britney blurb running you $5 or more, you can have it for $1. What’s more, the MORE blurbs like it you ask for, the less each one costs! The more you order, the less it costs.

Here’s the cost breakdown and the number of keywords you can specify with each content package that we offer:
